Gigi Hadid, who welcomed a baby girl with boyfriend Zayn Malik in September, opened up about her pregnancy in a series of tweets on Monday — and revealed she learned she was expecting right before strutting the runway.
“I found out the day before the Tom Ford show,” the 25-year-old supermodel shared, adding that she was dealing with major morning sickness at the time.
“I was so nauseous backstage but I learned I could kinda control it if I continuously ate, so my mom would pack me snacks before each show.”
When it came to satisfying her “waves” of cravings, Hadid reached for a range of treats, including “everything bagels/ extra cream cheese…triple chunk brownies for breakfast- sourdough toast & tomato olive oil salad w lots of salt and pepper…and [Zayn’s] ribs w fries. Random … Also arugula salads!!!”
The star added that while it was difficult to satisfy her carb cravings during the shows abroad, she got by with a little help from her pal Taylor Swift.
“During fashion month in Europe it was hard to find bagels so I ate mostly bread & Dutch cheese (except for in London, Taylor gave me bagels),” she tweeted. “Backstage at Burberry was the hardest day with the nausea, I remember.”
Hadid also reminisced about her pregnancy on Instagram Monday, sharing photos and a video from the Jacquemus Fall 2020 catwalk. “A year ago, today @jacquemus! My baby girl was in there,” she captioned her post.
In May, the model revealed that pregnancy may have changed the look of her face during that season’s fashion shows, leading some to suspect she had gotten fillers.
